"SS" Preamps / What guitar speakers you use with SS-20 for gig or rehearse?
« Last post by imenator on November 24, 2015, 04:37:26 am »
Ok, my first post in the forum and first in the preamp section :)

I have the SS-20 for a year so far and been playing only thru mixer + PA with my friends band or for home recording, still trying to buy a cab this christmas :) The clean channel is really clean, my strat single coils do sound twangy and imho I think it can do kind of the Eric Johnson clean sound . The crunch has a nice range from mild to strong overdrive that sounds great for electric blues or classic rock, lead is metal. So I know there is no single speaker that can do the best for every genre and I wonder which guitar speakers are you using out there and what kind guitar speaker you use with the SS-20 for your prefered music genre. Sound samples or youtube videos would be great.

Very good impression for SS-11 as my first face to face contact with AMT.
Solid enclosure with amazing sounds in many variations makes this company
on very high level in my eyes. Congrat guys and ride on. :)

E1 is fantastic too. I think touring is a lot more comfortable when  your pedalboard can be plugged to anything you might need: amp input, return jack or P.A.

My first experience with AMT was a preamp E1 :)  It happened to me about 5 years ago...
I remember I was really impressed by sizes of this device, usability and quality of a sound!
And since that period I prefer to use AMT stuff as a basis of my Live sound))

I would like to start a thread in this new forum with this subject: Which was your first experience with AMT?

Mine was with Legendary Amps R1.I was amazed because I had previously plugged preamps and digital processors into poweramp, but never a pedal. I remember I felt it was a lot more real and dynamic than other pieces of equipment I had owned, and aggresive as hell!

Sometimes, you find something that simply fits in your idea of a good sound. That is what happened to me.

Now, it's your turn!
