Pangaea CP-100 update remark and powersupply question
« on: January 06, 2016, 11:01:09 pm »
Hello there, AMT-Team!

First of all thanks for the Pangaea 2.0 update - unfortunately there´s no english information on your site or in the handbook what to do with the firmware.
After being a little puzzled I made a guess and just copied the file into the Pangaeas root-directory. Low and behold it updated flawlessly after disconnecting from the PC and connecting to the power supply. It´s nice that it works so easy but nonetheless: a little hint would have been nice.

On a different note: the Pangaea CP-100 comes with a 12V power supply. If I could use 9V things would be easier with my pedalboard, so I gave it a try and the CP-100 started up and worked seemingly perfect with a 9V/200mA supply. Is there any downside to doing this (e.g. less headroom, more noise or the danger of the unit switching off mid gig?)

Thanks for your help in advance!

So it is ok to use a 9vDC power supply with the Pangaea with no ill side effects?

I'm loving the Pangaea so I don't want to harm it by using the wrong
voltage, but it would be great if I can use it at 9v on my pedalboard.

Is it still working ok at 9vDC for you Dogman?

Hi ccouch,

didn´t log in for some time and thus saw your post just now.
Yes, the Panaea still works flawless for me powered by 9V.

Hope that helps, cheers.

Thanks for getting back Dogman I appreciate it!

I changed my setup and now have my Pangaea running off the extra outlet
on the back of my pedalpower, so it's running at 12 volts.

No problem, and very nice setup that you got going!
And cool that you have 12V available for the Pangaea.
I´m still going on 9V for me and still no problems.
